Some ghost towns are protected by a curse, and visitors have learned that Terlingua is one of the most beautifully situated ones in Texas as a whole, abandoned shortly after the mid 70’s. Located between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park, Terlingua is the most visited town, although the name actually applies to a mining district, and derives from Spanish words meaning “three tongues”. You can find gift shops and stores within a 5 minute walk and you will never want to leave the High Sierra Grill. We would like to hear from you, so give us your feedback.
